THE STORY
This blend is designed to keep the good times rolling this festive season! a super delicious pick me up for anytime of day that you need it.
We've combined two special coffees with two different processing methods.
60% Sumatra Dragon (Giling Basah process) - A previously unreleased organic coffee from the slopes of Burni Telong volcano in the Aceh highlands. This coffee has a lower acidity, high amounts of sweetness and thick silky body with notes of chocolate syrup, apple, berry, & cinnamon sugar,
40% Thailand Khun Lao (slow dried natural process) - This is an exceptionally high quality microlot, utilizing an indoor controlled drying technique to achieve high levels of sweetness. This coffee is produced by one farmer (Mr. Jaroon) and we had previously been released as a light roast filter option. This time we’ve developed the roast a little longer to bring out some delicious boozy, sugary dark fruit notes as well as some chocolate and spice hints.
As Australia’s only coffee importer and roaster focused solely on Southeast Asia we have the privilege of showcasing some of the region's most exciting coffees. Southeast Asia offers terroir with diverse environmental, climatic, and geological conditions that deliver unique and delicious tasting coffees. It’s also home to some of the most innovative and hard working farmers on the planet who continue to deliver crowd pleasing coffees.
Old Quarter Size Guide
Not sure how much coffee to purchase? The information below is a guide to how much coffee you will need to last you two weeks, based on the number of cups you, or your household, drink each day.
- 250g Bag: 1-2 cups per day
- 500g Bag: 2-3 cups per day
- 1kg Bag: 4-5 cups per day
Remember that espresso style extractions use a bit more coffee than filter...you'll need to take half a cup or so off the estimations above. E.g. you'll get about 1.5 cups per day if you order the 250g bag for a fortnight.
