Introducing our “Optimism Exchange” Campaign in Laos
GOOD COFFEE, GOOD WATER
Help change the daily lives of a farming community in Laos...just by buying your coffee!
THERE’S GOOD IN
EVERY DROP
We’ve built a new relationship with a farmer coop in Laos with seriously some of the most exceptional coffees we’ve ever tried. And because we’re all about brightening the lives of our amazing farmers too, 10% of every kilo of the Laos Good Drop coffee sold will go towards building a much needed water well for our farming partners and their community.
GOOD THINGS HAPPEN WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER
These Laos farmers are busy tending their crops to produce the beans that help us deliver great tasting coffee to our customers every day.
But day to day they don't have access to clean drinking water. The children in the village miss school to collect water and disease and infection from unsafe water is commonplace.
At Old Quarter, we believe that coffee has the special potential to make the world a happier, better place. And as a coffee community, we have the power to positively impact the lives of the people who grow our coffee just as they positively impact ours through the coffee they produce!
10% FROM EVERY KILO DONATED
Help spread Daily Happy to the parts of the world that need it most. The Laos Good Drop is an exclusive release and is one of the most delicious dry natural coffees you'll experience! Make GOOD happen by buying a 1kg, 500g or 250g 100% traceable, sustainable and ethical coffee. We promise you’ll feel good... from the coffee and from the goodness you’ve helped create.

WE CALL IT THE
OPTIMISM EXCHANGE
A DELICIOUS
AUSTRALIAN EXCLUSIVE
Coffee comes to us across the seas so it’s no surprise that as the only landlocked country in Southeast Asia, Laos isn’t a well known coffee origin. We’ve conquered untold shipping and logistical woes and spent years pursuing a relationship in Laos where we could confidently source coffee that meets our strict Green Bean Buying Principles. But be quick! The Laos Good Drop is a limited release coffee and we only have enough left for 500 coffee shoppers.
Laos Questions?
This coffee is from a village called Dak Cheung, in Sekong Province, southern Laos. Sekong Province is bordered by Vietnam to the east and is known to be rugged, wild and very scenic. This makes the transport of coffee very tricky, especially by land in the rainy season.
We're donating 10% of all sales of the Laos Good Drop coffee towards building a water well for the farmers who grew this coffee and their village. Put simply, just by buying this coffee you’ll be helping to change the daily lives of a farming community in Laos. Now that’s a good drop!
The launch of our new relationship in Laos and the building of a water well for the farmers and their communities is an opportunity for us to affirm our passion to spread Daily Happy to all we meet! It is about a real commitment to those that grow our amazing coffee.
We call these projects an Optimism Exchange. Here in Australia, we get great coffee that tastes good and feels good. And the farmers get sustainable livelihoods and good, clean water! Together, we have the power to positively impact the lives of the people who grow the coffee we drink every day, just as they positively impact ours through the coffee they produce!
The Laos Good Drop coffee has a textured syrupy body with rich, sugary sweetness and delicious dark fruit, malt and choc biscuit flavours.
We'll have your Laos Good Drop on it's way to you within 48 hours.
Please note, as we're not a charity, the purchase of the Laos Good Drop Coffee is not tax deductible.
To donate directly to the project, you can shop our fun donation cards! 100% of the proceeds will go towards the Good Water project!
You know the drill... You donate, we send you a cute card so you can use your donation as a gift to someone, or if you feel like it, just donate because you are a Good human doing Good!
If you'd like to be involved in spreading awareness about this exciting campaign please get in touch via our contact page and let us know how you think you could help.
