A BIT ABOUT THIS COFFEE

We’re proud to showcase a filter roast of our friends' coffee — one that sits at the heart of Old Quarter. This is the coffee we built our business on back in 2017, and it continues to represent a journey of hope in an ever-evolving agricultural landscape.

While it's a staple in our story, we rarely offer it as a light roast — which makes this release something special. It’s a personal treat for us, and we hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as we do.

This lot is a great example of a traditional variety, grown and processed with care — and a hopeful glimpse into the future of specialty coffee from Vietnam.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

This coffee has a crisp acidity and sweetness that layer together in unison. Expect notes of caramel and honey — bright, yet slightly syrupy — supported by yellow stone fruits, apple, black tea, and hints of citrus. The mouthfeel is clean and mild yet softly complex, with a well-balanced sweet–savoury structure that adds depth and drinkability

THE STORY

This coffee represents a rare opportunity to experience a delicious example of Vietnamese specialty coffee built on the foundation of creating a sustainable, viable farming future.

Pat and Tam and their K'Ho community have worked hard for many years to improve all aspects of growing, harvesting, and processing their coffee. Empowered, they have been able to break away from the 'commodity coffee' cycle and produce an exceptionally high-quality product.

Over the past 9 or so years, we've developed trust through an ongoing relationship and we've all benefited from working closely together.

For our company, this relationship represents everything we hope to stand for. This coffee was the very first coffee we imported. We started with just one humble pallet and we now pre-purchase close to the entirety of their harvest.

Nothing fancy going on here, just a simple washed coffee produced on the side of a high altitude mountain. And you can taste it.

Every year gets better and better - stay on this one!

I've enjoyed the Baristas Choice Coffee Subscription in Melbourne during 2021 - OQCM's coffee is first rate, the variety is interesting & unique, the business model; inspiring. Subscription service was above & beyond - Amelia went out of her way to provide excellent, friendly customer service. 10/10 would recommend!” Tiffany Smith - Google
”I've been buying this coffee for 2 years now and it's honestly the best coffee I've had so far. The Vietnam K'Ho is definitely my fave but all their coffees are bloody delicious. I was a little late placing my orders sometimes so now I order through their subscription service which is super convenient, plus saves me paying for shipping! 10/10 recommend to anyone who loves coffee.” Beatrice Eichler - Google
OMG if you haven’t tried this coffee yet you need too. How refreshing is it to drink coffee that hasn’t been over roasted and you can taste all the individual flavours of each bean? I’m hooked. Knowing it’s ethically sourced makes it taste even better.
