WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
You will get to try two distinctly different single origins side by side, to create the some seriously tasty home made coffee! Cold brew coffee is known for being smooth and sweet when compared to hot brewed coffee. When you brew coffee cold not as many acids and tannins are extracted so your cup of Daily Happy ends up with a lower acidity and less bitterness. Read, "smooth baby smooth". The Sumatra Gayo Bies and Thailand Akha will ensure your cold brew is up there with the best of them!

HOW TO BREW
These coffees are both a medium roast. Brewed as a cold brew, they are delicious either with added milk or without.
A basic recipe to use in a Hario Cold Brew Pot is as simple as this:
- Grind 80g of Old Quarter coffee on an extra-course setting. If you drink with milk and love a strong brew you could do like we do and use 100g.
- Pour 1 litre of cold, clean (filtered if you've got it!) water onto the coffee
- Brew in the fridge for between 12hrs - 24hrs. You can also brew warm on the counter. Bare in mind that your coffee will extract slower in the fridge.
- Once it's finished steeping, remove the filter and you can either store in the fridge in the pot or transfer it to another bottle so you can get another brew on the go!
- You can use it as a concentrate and simply add water or ice. Or add your choice of milk.
Old Quarter Size Guide
Not sure how much coffee to purchase? The information below is a guide to how much coffee you will need to last you two weeks, based on the number of cups you, or your household, drink each day.
- 250g Bag: 1-2 cups per day
- 500g Bag: 2-3 cups per day
- 1kg Bag: 4-5 cups per day
Remember that espresso style extractions use a bit more coffee than filter...you'll need to take half a cup or so off the estimations above. E.g. you'll get about 1.5 cups per day if you order the 250g bag for a fortnight.
